Lubbock Project Director 42675BR Accounting Services Position Description Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large, specialized project and program. Performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members. Major/Essential Functions Execute special projects as assigned, drafting schedules for implementation, reporting progress, promoting innovative solutions to ensure goals are met, and providing training and education as applicable. Independently form cross-departmental and/or cross-institutional project teams to arrive at consensus for action and implementation through communication, collaboration, persuasion, and negotiation. Assist with routine university accounting activities, including preparing accounting entries or reports, providing forecasting or data analysis, assisting with audits (internal or external), and other data or fund management needs. Contribute to university compliance efforts such as the development and implementation of institutional and departmental policy and procedure assisting with research and communication of existing, new, and proposed legislation. Assist with the advancement of automation efforts to employ efficiencies, increase productivity, and/or facilitate key performance indicator metrics. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications Experience with the following: Banner & COGNOS report development, interpretation of Government Accounting Standards Board statements and documents, drafting policy language, and managing complex projects. No Job Type Full Time Pay Basis Monthly Job Family Finance Job Sub Family Budget & Financial Analysis Annualized Pay Range $71,800 - $93,300 - $114,900 Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. Travel Required Up to 25% Shift Day Schedule Details M-F; 8:00am - 5:00pm, with possible overtime requirements during peak times. Grant Funded?
