Principal, Portfolio Strategy Manager San Diego, Los Angeles, San Mateo (Hybrid) AsPrincipal, Portfolio Strategy Manager, you willplay a critical role in shaping how SIE translates strategy into actionable investmentdecisions across a global portfolio of Hardware, Software and Services.As a partner to teams and executives in Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Platform Business Office,Program Managementand more, you will have to navigate and align competing priorities and perspectives.You willdevelop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio,evolve and implement a data-informed portfoliomanagementframework,and build trusted partnerships throughout the organization to helpevaluatetrade-offs andoptimizeportfolio balance andvalue. Responsibilities: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio and its programsand develop deep insights to generate actionable recommendations Ensure the portfolio reflects the right strategic investment mix and priorities to achieve business objectives Standardize and improve performance measurement practices across theportfolioin partnership withdatascience &analyticsteams Providestakeholderswith actionable insights and trade-off recommendations tooptimizeresource allocation Refine and lead execution of a value realization framework leveraging KPIs and ROI to assessprograms andportfolio performance Partner with cross-functional leaders to align priorities, resolve trade-offs, and enable executive decision-makingthrough a structured process with clear ownership Partnerwiththe broader Portfolio and Program Managementteamtomatureand scaleportfolio management capabilitiesthroughframeworks, processes, and tools Lead organizational change management toeducate stakeholders andembed consistent portfolio practicesthat result in stronger accountability, faster execution, and better business outcomes Required skills and qualifications: Bachelor's degree inscience,economicsor related field; advanced degree a plus 12+ years of experience in portfolio management,finance, strategicplanningor product management,within a technology-drivenand/orcustomer-firstenvironment Experience in the gaming industry a plus Proven success leading strategic planning for large-scale, complex, multi-billion-dollar portfolios Strong understanding of portfolio management principles and practices Creative problem-solverwhothrives in ambiguity and creates clarity through structured thinking Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance data-driven rigor and strategic judgment Track recordof building and implementing effective performance measurement and value realization frameworks Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear executive insights Exceptional ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across diverse functions Experience driving organizational transformation and change management *Please refer to our Candidate Privacy Noticefor more information about how we process your personal information, and your data protection rights.* At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role is eligible for SIE's top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.
