Job Description

Your new role

As our new Consultant, you will be part of our diverse, creative and collaborative Texas team. You will work with all levels of expertise from junior-level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. You will be assigned a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) mentor who will guide you through project assignments. As you work on challenging projects, you will be given increasing responsibility and rely on experienced managers and colleagues to offer support and a helping hand as you learn and develop in your role.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Performing review of Health and Safety Programs and developing new programs
  • Conducting research for emerging contaminants and regulatory updates/changes
  • Carrying out qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments for a variety of chemicals of concern
  • Performing indoor air quality, water intrusion and microbial assessments and completing personal protective equipment assessments
  • Conducting evaluations of industrial hygiene risk and equipment engineering controls
Qualifications
  • BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline (industrial hygiene, occupation safety, or closely related) or science discipline (chemistry, environmental science, or closely related) and 2+ years of relevant industrial hygiene experience is required.
  • Strong mathematical/computational skills including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing and effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.
  • Current or interest in pursuing professional industrial hygiene certification and licenses.
  • Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
  • Candidates must be willing to perform field activities and short-term travel up to 40% of the time on average during the year and possess a valid driver's license. Travel may include overnight stay and may be out of state.

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annualbase salary between $68,730 - $85,913. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
