Paralegal/Legal Operations Analyst II

Do you have a passion for continuous process improvement and a background in the legal field? We have a great opportunity for you! As a Paralegal/Legal Operations Analyst II, you will provide supervised project-based support to our attorneys, including support of transactions, litigations, and/or corporate governance. You will conduct legal research and analysis, draft legal documents, and manage files and legal documents. You'll also review and make recommendations to improve our legal policies and procedures, enhance compliance with these procedures, and evaluate and enhance our legal systems and software solutions. You will perform research, analysis, and report on key operational and substantive contracting, budgeting, and other metrics that will better inform decision-making, including matter and work product analyses, and assist with updating our corporate governance documents. Responsibilities will include assisting attorneys with administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars, and performing other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills. As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation and enhancement of legal policies, procedures, and systems
  • Conduct in-depth research on legal and regulatory requirements and ensure compliance
  • Manage the implementation and optimization of legal software solutions
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards on legal metrics, including contracting, budgeting, and operational efficiency
  • Develop and update corporate governance documents and policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline legal processes

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Associate's Degree and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience
    • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
    • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Paralegal Certificate
  • Experience utilizing research and analysis methods
  • Familiarity with Legal Research Databases, e-billing systems such as Ascent DoE Legal
  • Experience with legal research, analysis, and writing
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others
  • Ability to organize projects/tasks and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and coordinate projects to ensure the required tools, processes, and training are available and effective
  • Strong skills with Microsoft products including SharePoint, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Strong skills with Adobe

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Notary Commission
  • Advanced knowledge of legal software and case management tools
  • Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools
