As a part of nVent, theElectrical Products Group is a leading provider of infrastructure solutions, designed to help ensure safe and reliable electrical operations primarily in the infrastructure vertical, including power utilities and data centers. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in shaping and fabricating metal parts to meet detailed specifications. You will set up and operate a variety of fabricating machines such as a Press Brake, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality. Reporting directly to the Manager, this position is based in Fulton, MO. You will work MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, 4PM TO 2:30AM. YOU HAVE:
1-2 years of experience operating brake presses or other fabricating machines. HS diploma or GED, preferred. Familiarity with blueprints and precision instruments like calipers, scales, and micrometers. Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions. Forklift experienced, preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a safe work environment.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Gather necessary materials and perform layouts based on jobs specifications. set up and operate fabricating machines, including press brakes, shears, ironworkers, saws, and punch press. Monitor machine feed and speed during the machining process for optimal performance. Measure, examine, and test completed units to ensure they meet specifications, using precision instruments. Refer to blueprints and collaborate with team leads to understand job requirements. Dispose of scrap and waste materials according to company policies and environmental standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.

- Manufacturing position; spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands, and reaching.
- Spends app. 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing.
- Spends less than 1/3 of time positioning items weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Generally, requires clear vision at close distances.
