Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Solution Architect to support our Huntsville, AL location.

We are seeking a Solution Architect to support the design, development, and deployment of a next-generation Digital Test Environment. The ideal candidate is a motivated problem solver with a strong background in digital transformation, software development, and cloud architecture, capable of guiding teams and shaping solutions that meet evolving mission needs.

This individual will provide technical leadership while also ensuring that requirements are captured, refined, prioritized, and delivered in alignment with stakeholder objectives. The role requires a balance of hands-on architecture, team facilitation, and customer engagement, helping drive the product vision and coordinating across diverse technical and operational stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

    Architect and design solutions based on analysis of customer requirements, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient environments.
  • Define, communicate, and document system architectures, integration patterns, and cloud-based solutions across digital test domains.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable roadmaps, features, and deliverables, ensuring the team stays aligned with mission priorities.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through design, implementation, testing, and delivery, facilitating collaboration and removing obstacles to progress.
  • Support iterative planning and execution cycles, enabling teams to adapt quickly to feedback and evolving requirements.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, assess their applicability, and recommend adoption to improve capability and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and architectural decisions to senior leaders, technical teams, and operational users.


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to design and architect digital solutions that integrate data, applications, and infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience leading end-to-end solution development efforts, from requirements analysis and conceptual design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Broad understanding of cloud platforms and services (e.g., infrastructure, storage, networking, data management, and security) and their application to enterprise-scale environments.
  • Familiarity with modern software engineering practices and frameworks, including iterative development, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and DevSecOps approaches.
  • Proven ability to analyze and orchestrate data flows, including data integration, transformation, and visualization, to support decision-making and mission outcomes.
  • Strong background in scalable, distributed system design with an emphasis on resilience, interoperability, and security.
  • Effective at facilitating collaboration across diverse technical teams, stakeholders, and customers to align solutions with strategic objectives.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with DoD T&E and acquisition communities.
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks and experience fostering collaboration across technical teams and stakeholders.
