Description We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to support and enhance our hybrid infrastructure environment. This role is ideal for a candidate with deep technical expertise in both on-premises and cloud systems, a passion for automation, and a commitment to maintaining secure, stable, and scalable infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for complex server hardware, operating systems, and software during both critical and non-critical business hours. Monitor systems, respond to alerts, analyze performance issues, and implement resolutions to ensure platform stability. Manage Windows servers and virtual machines (Hyper-V preferred; VMWare experience also considered). Administer Microsoft product patch management and ensure compliance with security standards. Configure and support Big-IP F5 load balancers and related network infrastructure. Utilize AI tools to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Drive automation initiatives to streamline infrastructure operations. Deploy and configure server operating systems and applications across physical, virtual, and containerized environments. Perform system upgrades and health checks in accordance with corporate policies. Create and maintain technical documentation and reference materials. Ensure adherence to cloud infrastructure consumption standards and security compliance requirements. Skills Cloud, Aws, hyper-v Top Skills Details Cloud,Aws,hyper-v Additional Skills & Qualifications Project Scope & Environment Goal: Gradual migration from stable on-prem infrastructure to AWS cloud Timeline: Full AWS migration targeted within 2.5 years Current State: ~60% on-prem / 40% cloud Team Culture: Operates like a startup with the stability of Paychex backing; casual, collaborative, and autonomous Make sure candidate it comfortable with camera on* Technical Environment On-Prem Infrastructure - OS: Primarily Windows, some Linux - Tools: Ansible (server configuration), Hyper-V (preferred) / VMware (acceptable), Gitbucket & Jenkins (not a focus) Monitoring: Splunk (log reading and query writing) Networking: Basic understanding required; no hands-on networking work Cloud Infrastructure Platform: AWS - Tools: Terraform (IaC) , GitHub Actions - Candidate Requirements: Hybrid Experience: Strong background in both on-prem and cloud environments - Splunk (log analysis) Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
