Position Summary
The Electric Program Manager supports and manages aspects of implementation and operations of Vegetation Management programs with an assigned/designated annual financial budget. This role will provide oversight, governance, communication, training, reporting, overall process, and project management for the assigned program. They manage the program budget, including developing and presenting the budget proposal. Ensures program is operating effectively.
This position is hybrid, working from assigned location and remote office, subject to change per business needs. Desire 2-3 days in person in San Ramon - Bishop Ranch.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company, in good faith, believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, particular skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $122,000
Bay Area Maximum: $194,000

California Minimum: $116,000
California Maximum: $184,000
* This job can also include participation in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
* This position is hybrid. You will work from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. The headquarters location is San Ramon, Bay Area. General expectations for working days in office are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week.
Job Responsibilities
* Utilizes expert knowledge in Program Management to address various issues and assignments. Works independently, seeking guidance only for the most complex problems. May lead project teams.
* May act as a team lead and provide direction to less experienced employees.
* Manages all aspects of complex, cross-departmental programs that significantly affect the line of business. Leads the creation of plans to achieve program objectives.
* Provides standardized, regular, and custom ad-hoc reports. May support divisions with reports on operational metrics to give insight into performance trends.
* Ensures regulatory compliance within the program.
* Develops and delivers presentations to leaders about the program's progress toward its goals.
* Partners with Manager/Director to determine most appropriate and effective program performance metrics. Develops content and format for reports and dashboards. Prepares and presents regular updates to senior management, addressing issues and gaining buy in on solutions.
* Develops both annual and long term program work plan forecast and budget. Regularly monitors costs vs. budget, presents status and prepares and proposes solutions to address variances.
* Plans and forecasts work to be completed as part of the program. Monitors and ensures the closure/completion of program goals and other program maintenance. Identifies issues and formulates solutions. Presents recommendations and an implementation plan to leadership for approval.
* Conducts trend analysis to identify cost drivers and develops and executes mitigation plans to enhance business results. Manages capital and expense spending to ensure the work outlined in the program plan is completed and that productivity cost targets are met. Reviews cost monitoring systems to ensure appropriate controls are in place to detect and rectify erroneous charges.
* Negotiates and establishes productivity and unit cost targets. Prepares accurate forecasts, monitors expenditures, and develops and presents explanations for variances. Creates a business case for budget and additional funding throughout the year. Collaborates closely with peers and leaders in the line of business to ensure financial targets are understood and achieved.
* Leads partner organizations in crafting and implementing enhanced processes, best practices, controls, and procedures to boost efficiencies, compliance, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.
* May collaborate with other project or program managers or peers in different departments or regions to reschedule work, reallocate funds, and explore alternative methods to meet financial and productivity objectives.
* Represents the program as a subject matter expert and stakeholder on process improvement teams, regulatory filings, and various stakeholder groups.
* Travel may be required.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 7 years
