The Role:

As the Director of Facilites, you'll be at the helm of maintaining and enhancing our healthcare facilities. Your leadership will ensure that our buildings, and equipment are optimized for seamless operation. You'll also drive construction initiatives, making a significant impact on our healthcare delivery.

What You'll Do:



  • Operational Steward: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our plants, buildings, and equipment, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
  • Construction Leader: Spearhead construction projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to bring innovative designs to life.
  • Biomedical Services Director: Manage and enhance biomedical services, ensuring that technological advancements improve patient care.
  • Budget Maestro: Prepare and manage budgets effectively, aligning expenditures with strategic priorities.
  • Compliance Guardian: Ensure adherence to codes, regulations, and Joint Commission standards, maintaining the electronic Statement of Conditions (eSOC) for our hospitals.
  • Strategic Collaborator: Foster strong relationships with Operations Managers, Biomedical Managers, and Administration to address operational challenges and enhance efficiencies.
  • Insightful Reporter: Compile and present detailed reports on building and equipment issues, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.


What You'll Bring:



  • Education Background: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Specialized Training: Coursework or training in the electrical and/or mechanical field.
  • Experience: 10 or more years of hospital plant experience in facilities of 500,000 sq. ft. or greater.
  • Leadership Experience: 5 years of direct supervisory expereince.
  • Communication Mastery: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Organizational Acumen: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Innovative problem-solving skills to tackle challenges with strategic foresight.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work seamlessly with Administration, Department Directors, medical staff, and planning teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of codes, regulations, electrical and mechanical systems, and construction processes.
