As the Vice President of Enterprise Applications at Global Medical Response, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape of our organization for enterprise business and clinical applications. You will lead a talented team of software developers, architects, data management experts, and clinical informatics professionals to create, implement, and maintain enterprise-level software solutions that drive our business forward. Your expertise in software development, solution architecture, data management, AI, clinical informatics, and product management will be critical in delivering innovative and impactful solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to software development and support teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Lead by example, inspiring teams to achieve their best and drive continuous improvement. Define and develop the team to ensure high quality application solutions, value delivery, and an effective organizational strategy. Experience specific to leading change with rationalizing application portfolios is key.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth. Empower team members to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Technology:

  • Application Solution Architecture: Define and oversee the application solution architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability, security, and future technological advancements. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design robust and efficient solutions.
  • Data Management: Develop and implement data management strategies, ensuring accurate and accessible data across the organization. Establish data governance practices, data quality standards, and data integration processes.
  • Clinical Informatics: Leverage your clinical informatics expertise to partner in guiding the development of healthcare-related applications, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Product Management: Collaborate with product management teams to define and refine product roadmaps, features, and enhancements. Drive successful delivery of software products, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with market trends.
  • Software Development and Support: Oversee the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions that exceed user expectations. In addition, ensuring our application portfolio is secure through leveraging a well-defined vulnerability management program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in CIS, Business Administration; master's degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience within the Applications realm.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and application architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time, delivering expected business results.
  • Proven track record of building, leading, and managing software development and support teams.
  • Demonstrated success in leading enterprise application initiatives with extensive experience applying Agile methodologies at scale.
  • Experience applying AI technologies-including large language models (LLMs), machine learning, and intelligent automation-to enhance enterprise applications, streamline operations, and unlock new business value.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise solution architecture, data management, and clinical informatics.
  • Strong understanding of technologies such as EMR & EPCR Platforms, SDLC Framework, Tools (e.g., JIRA, GITHUB) relevant to software development and healthcare industry.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) and application to software security and software supply chain risk management.
  • Certified Application Security Engineer (CASE) or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) preferred
  • 3+ years' IT leadership experience in a health care setting is preferred. Experience should include substantial exposure to both in-house and shared or outsourced systems, multiple hardware platforms, and integrated information and communications systems.
