We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Quality Engineer to join the Liquidity and Financing team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who can combine strong technical automation skills with a good understanding of functional requirements. You will design, build, and maintain automated tests and frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, and Java, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires close collaboration with development, product, and QA teams across the US and India to ensure quality is embedded at every stage of the SDLC. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Java, Playwright and Java Script.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrating automated test suites
- Carry out test planning, risk analysis and defect management across sprints
- Collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend systems.
- Work with mainframe systems to validate end-to-end workflows in legacy banking platforms.
- Identify, document, and track defects and work with teams to resolve issues.
- Ensures Engineering Teams are adhering to all the Quality Controls in place.
- Validates the complete traceability to the Requirements
- Collaborating with tech teams to integrate AI-driven testing tools into the software development lifecycle.
- Applying AI to optimize regression testing, and continuous integration pipelines.
- Work closely with offshore teams to coordinate test planning, execution, and defect management
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms
- Specialist Quality Engineer will not only inject Quality at each layer of the application & every step of the SDLC but also help solve some of the most complex automation challenges that impact a lot of business areas.
- Will also help with constantly improving the efficiency of the Automation Tools and Processes.
- Will support QE Initiatives involving working with Databases & ETL Systems & Associated Automation Technologies.
- Will support QE Initiatives involving working with complex Messaging Queues & Associated Automation Technologies.
- Attends the required Product Backlog Grooming & Planning Meetings to contribute to the Creation of Effective User Stories.
- Comes up with Comprehensive Regression Suites for Applications & Systems. Communicates the same to the QE Team and acts as a Feeder to the Automation Engine.
- Solves Complex Automation Challenges spanning multiple technologies in a scalable & extensible manner with least amount of maintenance.
- Continuously improves the Efficiency of the Automation using innovative technologies & thought process in specific QE Domain Areas.
- Promotes and Implements the Shift Left Testing Approach in close collaboration with the Application Development Teams.
- Helps resolve issues detected during testing. Provides QE support to Development, Business and Test teams on internal and external issues.
- Helps with getting down to the Root Cause of the Issues and works with the Engineering Teams to resolve and Validate the Fixes.
- Ensures Continuous Testing, Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery are enabled for the Apps Automated.
- Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
- Will also play a key role in training and bridging the specific skill gaps across the Quality Engineering Domain.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial.
- 4-8 years of experience in a systems quality environment required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cucumber BDD and Test NG, JUnit
- Proficient in Java programming for test automation. Experience with Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEs
- Proficient in GitLab, Bitbucket, and version control best practices.
- Experience in SQL, Oracle DB, and data validation techniques.
- Proficient in API test Automation, RestAssured API's, Postman
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
- Knowledge of financial services or banking workflows is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
