This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

This role is essential to the engineering, procurement, construction, and activation of new test capabilities that support all of Blue Origin's business units. You'll be at the forefront of building the test infrastructure that powers our journey to space. As a planner and scheduler for capital projects, you'll own the full spectrum of planning, scheduling, and daily activity alignment across our group. You will be a linchpin, collaborating with stakeholders across test sites, Facilities, Inventory, Technical Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Test Operations. Your work ensures that resources are coordinated and available to support flawless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scope & Schedule Management: Own the scope of work, maintaining integration and detailed schedules for all capital projects executed by Test Capabilities Development. Supply management with critical path information to ensure project timelines align with organizational resource capacity.
  • Problem Solving & Recovery: Lead schedule recovery efforts when needed by identifying bottlenecks, using forward/reverse scheduling methods, and providing incisive "what-if" analysis to management.
  • Resource Coordination: Collaborate with Operations to determine workforce needs and develop schedules based on resource and labor requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate activities with all departments and contractors at the pad, meeting customer requirements, achieving schedule accuracy, and ensuring seamless operation.
  • Operations Monitoring: Track status and keep management informed on upcoming operations and priorities.
  • Visual Management: Update visual status charts to reflect current program metrics.
  • Variance Analysis: Perform deep-dives on schedule and scope variances; support operations execution at LC-36.
  • Critical Thinking: Address problems of varied scope with strong analytical skill and sound judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in business, finance, project management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of planning and scheduling experience in an industrial or technical environment.
  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining resource-loaded schedules in Microsoft Project, Project Server, or Primavera (P6).
  • Experience managing ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to build relationships across mulitple teams and management levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management.
  • Ability to work full-time; occasional travel, overtime, or on-call may be required.
  • Must successfully pass a security background check to work on federal reservations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience planning for engine test, launch, or recovery operations.
  • Background in new program or product introduction environments.
  • Track record of implementing company-wide process improvements.
  • Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or Tableau.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $100,997.00-$141,395.10

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
