GENERAL FUNCTION:

This function covers incumbents responsible for operations relating to all asset classes within Capital Market Activities, which may include all FX Products, Fixed Income, Commodity Derivatives, and Interest Rate Derivatives. This role will be required to manage a broad area of responsibilities in Capital Markets such as Trade Support, Clearance/Settlement/Investigations and Documentation/Confirmations, Record-keeping, Clearing, and Regulatory Reporting for all Cleared and OTC Swaps.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary focus of role is on day-to-day operational execution, although roles will also include contributing to strategic planning within area of expertise.

  • Responsible for providing support to the Capital Markets business overall or to multiple Capital Markets business units.

  • Roles at this level require significant relevant experience and/or expertise.

  • Acts as a subject area expert and directs activities of staff.

  • Develops and maintains specific subject expertise and advises upper management, and relevant third parties.

  • Has regular contact among peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations.

  • Provides advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy.

  • Knowledgeable of governing entities and regulatory rules and policies.

  • Roles at this level typically require significant functional and industry experience and/or expertise. They are expected to be subject area experts in multiple or specific skill sets, business areas or products.

  • Responsible for managing team supporting Capital Markets projects, including procedure updates, trainings, metrics, process improvements, and assuring all applicable project deliverables are on time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Typically manages a specific production infrastructure unit, specialist functions, and/or analyst functions. Possesses strong management and professional leadership skills. Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Years of experience: 3-5 years required.

  • Requires Bachelor's Degree (with a strong preference for MBA) or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrate ability to lead, direct, and influence change.

  • Must be a self-starter, with exceptional organizational skills that complement the ability to work at a fast pace under stressful deadlines.

  • Must have expert level understanding of Microsoft Office programs; experience with Capital Markets related platforms a plus. Prior supervisory skills preferred.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
