Performance Improvement Coordinator - Total Quality Management - 40 Hours - Days Eligible for Full-Time Benefits Shift: Days 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends. GENERAL SUMMARY: Organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow. Responsibilities: Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures. Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations. Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators. Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams. Performs regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Assists in policy, procedure and contract review process. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives. . EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Nursing degree highly preferred. 3-5 years of acute care hospital experience. Previous Med/Surg ortho experience a plus. Previous experience working with BCBS Pay for Performance CQIs a plus. Experience working within MARCQI collaborative a plus. Previous project management/quality improvement experience preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft office and comfortable with data analysis and presenting to medical staff leaders and administration. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES REQUIRED: BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES PREFERRED: Certification specializing in Lean Healthcare Mgmt. preferred.
