DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Equipment Operator A, you will conduct skilled work in the operation of equipment and single chassis vehicles with a gross vehicle weight under 26,000 pounds used in the transport of personnel and materials, and construction, grounds, and maintenance work. Specific equipment you may utilize includes tractors, front-end loaders, excavators, dump trucks, boat lifts, and mowers. You will perform general maintenance to all park facilities and structures which may entail assisting in building gates, repairing piers and docks, replacing picnic grills and picnic tables, replacing charcoal disposal units, and installing or replacing park signs. You will also engage in grounds maintenance activities such as sand removal or placement, beach cleaning, brush hogging, leaf blowing, mowing, and snow removal. Safety is a top priority within this role and it is essential to complete routine safety checks and inspections of equipment and vehicles prior to operation, in addition to maintaining detailed records of the status of all equipment. - This is a seasonal, 37.5 hours/week, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2025 until November 2025 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately in March 2026.
- Work schedule will vary and will include weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
