Requirements Job Overview Project Assistant, Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer - Oncology/Cancer Prevention and Control Program/GUMC - Georgetown University. Supports a newly-funded NCI R01 grant (Schwartz, PI) focused on outreach, genetic education, and cancer genetic testing in survivors of prostate cancer. Also provides secondary support for projects funded through the Fisher Center. Roles include literature reviews and content development for new study intervention; interacting with study team and intervention development vendors to manage the intervention development process; electronic health record review for eligible patients; recruiting eligible prostate cancer survivors; conducting intervention usability testing sessions; conducting telephone-based study surveys; monitoring and tracking study milestones; data entry, and data tracking; maintaining files; conducting quality assurance, supervising undergraduate research assistants. The project assistant will be trained in RedCap in order to perform database programming and management. This position will play a central role in data collection by collecting behavioral and epidemiological data. Including initial and follow up telephone interviews, confirming subject eligibility. Ensures completion of surveys in accordance with projected number of surveys completed/week. Ensures timely completion of follow-up surveys in accordance with established time frames. Reviews patient charts for pathology information. In-person and telephone study recruitment. Approaches and recruits genetic counseling and breast cancer patients by telephone or in person. Reviews patient records for eligibility. Consults with clinical staff regarding patient eligibility. Requires extreme sensitivity to patient and clinic needs. Performs database programming, data entry and data tracking. Enters survey results and registers new patients into the databases. Performs quality checks on existing data. Performs tracking of patients, maintains contact logs and hard copy files of study materials. In addition, this position will also be expected to conduct literature reviews, participate in manuscript preparation and help organize and coordinate study-related meetings. Work Interactions The candidate will interact frequently with patients over the telephone. Interactions with clinical physicians and staff will also be central to the position. The position also requires interactions with multiple faculty PIs involved in a linked set of cancer genetic studies. In addition, this position frequently interacts with other project staff at Georgetown and collaborating sites. This position will directly report to Dr. Schwartz's project coordinator and will also interact frequently with Dr. Schwartz. Requirements and Qualifications

Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $41,926.00 - $65,090.00 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
