The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost invites applicants for an Academic Program Officer or Senior Academic Program Officer for Academic Affairs, reporting to the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. Commensurate with the candidate's experience, the role will be filled at either the Academic Program Officer or Senior Academic Program Officer level. The role works in close collaboration with other staff and serves as a key resource to academic units across the University. The role is responsible for maintaining academic policies and associated documentation and guidance, updating undergraduate and graduate records during the annual review cycle, and supporting other related needs such as accreditation and legislative review processes. Success in this role requires a collaborative approach and the ability to navigate diverse perspectives and priorities in a dynamic academic environment. This is a generalist position that may be involved in other operational, programmatic, and strategic support activities as needed, and flexibility is key.
The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost (EVPP) The Provost's office advances academic excellence at all levels of the University. As the chief academic officer, the provost is responsible for UVA's teaching, scholarship, and research at the schools, library, art museums, numerous centers and institutes, and international study programs, as well as faculty recruitment and retention. About the Position This is an exempt, full-time position with benefits. Visit here for more information on the benefits of working at UVA. A hybrid work schedule may be possible. The anticipated hiring range is $90,000 to $125,000 commensurate with education and experience. The University performs background checks on all new hires prior to employment. This position will not consider candidates who require immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
