Responsibilities
- The Ambulatory Informatics Analyst plays a crucial role in the success of outpatient clinics by actively engaging in the planning, development, implementation, education, and training of clinical and operational documentation. This role provides operational excellence by streamlining workflows and integrating evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and meet organizational needs.
- Ensures adherence to safety principles and utilizes evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes through technological advancements and workflow optimizations.
- Consistently delivers high-quality services to stakeholders across the organization.
- Facilitate and support standardization of applications and systems design for physician support, medication management, clinical documentation, and workflows.
- Provide input and guidance to identify and resolve system deficiencies, analyzing problems, and proposing effective solutions.
- Demonstrates proficiency in identifying, resolving, and escalating issues as needed to achieve timely and appropriate resolutions.
- Maintain open communication with various stakeholders and organizational leaders throughout the resolution process.
- Prioritize requests and assist in the development of electronic healthcare record platforms and other clinical information systems across the organization.
- Participates in and, when necessary, leads training sessions to support ongoing projects.
- Keeps management informed about staff skill levels and application proficiency.
- Effectively prioritize and resolve technical issues, collaborating with IT analysts and users to overcome barriers and achieve results.
- Offer call support, both on-site and remote, as needed.
- Travel to and from organizational facilities as needed to support implementation, training, or at-the-elbow support.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare or healthcare IT-related field.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- Informatics or teaching/training experience.
