Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking two Non-Credit, Non-Teaching Coadjutants (Math Specialist and English Specialist) for the TRIO Student Support Services ( SSS) program within the Academic Foundations Center. This position is a collaborative partnership between the Educational Opportunity Fund ( EOF) and the SSS program.
The duties include but are not limited to the following:
1. Train and supervise tutoring staff and provide direct academic support in Math or English to participants of the SSS program.
2. Maintain weekly office hours.
3. Render one-on-one tutoring sessions.
4. Assess a student's tutoring needs.
5. Advise SSS staff on assessment results and tutoring needs.
6. Communicate with faculty on behalf of students when necessary.
7. Document services rendered.
8. Provide bi-weekly reports on services rendered.
9. Attend bi-monthly SSS staff meetings.
10. Other duties as assigned.
