Elkridge, MD Payr From: $55.00 per hour MUST: Experienced Cisco Trainer (Classroom) Cisco certifications required: CCNA (minimum); CCNP or higher preferred. Valid Cisco Certified Systems Instructor (CCSI) credential strongly preferred. Proven experience as a technical trainer or instructor, particularly in Cisco networking and security technologies. Strong knowledge of routing, switching, wireless, collaboration, data center, and/or security solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. Experience teaching in classroom environments. Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles. Additional IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, AWS, Palo Alto, etc.) are a plus. Bachelor's preferred DUTIES: We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Cisco Trainer to deliver high-quality training in Cisco technologies, certifications, and solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Cisco networking, security, and collaboration products, combined with a passion for teaching and mentoring IT professionals. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led Cisco training programs (virtual and in-person) for entry-level to advanced learners. Prepare candidates for Cisco certification exams (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, and specialized tracks). Customize training materials to meet the needs of corporate clients, government agencies, and individual learners. Stay current on Cisco technologies, best practices, and certification updates to ensure training content remains relevant and accurate. Conduct labs, simulations, and hands-on exercises to reinforce learning objectives. Assess learners' progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer guidance for continued professional development.
