Requirements and Description Job Title Sup, Airport Ops Job Summary The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the Operations team in key strategic locations and the primary point of station contact for station leadership.Responsibilities include leading, developing, coaching and supporting a highly effective team of Operations Agents while driving operational performance and consistency. High focus on engaging the team in developing solutions to maintain a safe and on time operation. The Operations Supervisor will also be responsible for effective coordination across departments including but not limited to Airport, OCC, Flight Ops, Inflight, Tech Ops, Catering and Fueling. The Operations Supervisor also maintains strong communication with the local airport authority. Responsibilities *Primary contact for Spirit OCC Director and Station Leadership Team *Gate management including current and future planning (i.e. aircraft swaps and next day delays) *Aircraft towing coordination *Air-to-Ground communication *Coordination with Chief Pilot, Inflight, Tech Ops and OCC Support Groups *Coordination with the local Airport Authority, Customs and Border Protection, Transportation Security Administration and local Law Enforcement *Tarmac Coordinator including forecasting weather and ramp closures as well as Department of Transportation compliance for tarmac delays *Active communication across Microsoft Teams community to all internal and external stakeholders, to include escalations to station leadership as safety and/or operational concerns arise *Monitor and provide feedback on working methods, productivity and quality on a team and individual level. *Ensure accurate number of Operations coordinators and external business partners are available to provide a reliable and safe operation *Contribute to building a Spirit Strong operation by supporting and coaching team members in their daily efforts according to agreed development plans * Ensures Coordinators are fully trained and aware of company policies and procedures *Conducts recurrent training with team members *Supports coordinators with responses to inquiries from OCC and Station Leadership *Builds a committed team with a strong culture based on safety, integrity, high performance and pride of work *Track common issues received and collaborates with Station Leadership on potential solutions *Provide performance reports to Leadership as required *May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g. emergencies, IROP handling or Operational developments.) *Proficiency in all Ops related tools and software (Ops Web, Gate Manager, Navitaire, Levarti, etc.) *Assist with station audits and compliance for both internal and external audits *Oversee the accurate and complete filing and retention of all flight departure related paperwork Education High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Education Specific Field Experience 1-3 years' experience (indicate specific field, if required) Experience Specific Field 1-3 years of experience; In-depth knowledge of airport operations required. 1-3 years of airline experience | 1-3 years of leadership experience Additional Certifications Must possess Valid Driver's License 1 - 3 Years Related Operations Experience Proficient in Microsoft Office and Power Point Successful completion of required Airports Training Specialized Skills
