In this role, you will help ensure the reliable operation of our bulk handling systems that support the production of high-quality food products. You will be responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and making mechanical adjustments on both dry and liquid bulk handling equipment. This position involves a blend of mechanical, electrical, electronic, fabrication, and plumbing skills-offering a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a well-rounded maintenance professional.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on bulk ingredient systems, including pipe systems, blowers, compressors, conveyors, and transfer equipment, ensuring minimal downtime
- Inspect, clean, lubricate, and maintain bulk-related equipment and parts to maximize reliability and efficiency
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, including mechanical and control issues, and implement timely solutions
- Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability
- Create and complete work order requests and purchase requests accurately and promptly.
- Respond to emergency repairs and complete assigned routine maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors and planners
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Safely operate welding equipment and cutting torches for metal fabrication and repair, as needed
- Keep accurate logs, maintenance records, and reports
- Demonstrate safe work practices and a commitment to product and workplace safety
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and consistently demonstrate professionalism aligned with company values
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience maintaining automated industrial equipment or equivalent
- Formal technical training and relevant hands-on experience
- Proficiency with electrical and electronic controls
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to use basic computer applications for documentation and work orders
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also thriving in a team environment
- Excellent troubleshooting, judgment, and decision-making skills
- Must provide and wear safety shoes on the first day of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in general industrial maintenance
- Experience with metal fabrication (minimum of 1 year)
- Basic Arc and TIG welding skills
