TITLE: Global Director, GPS / Lean Manufacturing LOCATION: Hybrid in Alsip, IL with extensive travel COMP RANGE: $170,000-200,000/year Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manages all activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement. Employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Implement and support cultural change across the organization and drive business improvement. Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects. Lean Manufacturing Director also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Knowledge & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field required, Masters preferred. 7+ years in the Continuous Improvement (lean manufacturing) function; food manufacturing experience a must. Master Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent qualification a plus. Background in manufacturing and/or engineering environments. Background in people management and project management. Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), BRC and SQF preferred. TPM/Kaizen Instructor certification or Black Belt certification a plus. Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to set a vision, manage change, develop personnel and strategically plan for continuous improvement. Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and can influence others across multiple levels of the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all levels in the organization. Qualified Trainer is advantageous. Financial and business acumen. Proficient with MS Programs, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook, and Power BI preferred. Must be able to travel 40%.
