Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly organized, experienced, and self-motivated Environmental Scientist - Data Manager to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. This position is instrumental in managing and reviewing environmental data collected during site investigation, characterization, and remediation projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and comfortable navigating between technical tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities



  • Coordinate and manage laboratory-generated analytical and field data



  • Track, process, and review chemical data for quality assurance



  • Work with project teams to streamline data flow and integration



  • Maintain and manage large environmental datasets in relational databases



  • Manage subcontractors including laboratories and data validation firms



  • Generate electronic data deliverables (EDDs) for State and Federal agencies



  • Prepare technical data outputs including tables, graphs, and statistical summaries



  • Contribute to the development of QA Project Plans, Data Management Plans, and data usability assessments





Required Qualifications



  • B.S./B.A. in Environmental Science, Data Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline



  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel in an office setting



  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Access or SQL



  • 2-4 years of experience using EQuIS, ERPIMS, or similar environmental data software



  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)



  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills



  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities



  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment



  • At least 1 year of environmental field work experience





Desired Qualifications



  • Experience with statistical analysis of environmental data



  • Familiarity with programming languages for data processing and automation

Pay Range
$65,000 $80,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
