Senior Analyst, Growth Strategy
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to apply your administrative, contractual, and payment processing expertise while contributing to research and analysis that supports the acceleration of the energy transition. You will work closely with the leadership of the Grid and Growth Strategy team in a dynamic and impactful environment.

About the Team
The Grid & Growth Strategy Team consists of three sub-teams:
Growth Strategy- Develop and implement AES Renewables' growth plans across U.S. regions. Transmission Strategy- Identify feasible grid interconnection locations. Interconnection- Manage AES's extensive portfolio of grid interconnection requests.
About the Role
The role includes two primary areas of responsibility:(A) Administrationand(B) Analysis
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Manage payments through SAP and AES's approval process.
- Oversee contract management and team coordination.
- Support administrative functions including vendor setup and payment processing.
- Facilitate contract execution with consultants and software providers, coordinating with subject matter experts and legal teams.
- Establish and maintain efficient administrative processes for team operations.
- Coordinate weekly and other team communications.
Analytical Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis related to the electric grid and energy market drivers.
- Support initiatives across all three sub-teams: Growth Strategy, Transmission Strategy, and Interconnection.
The administrative workload is not expected to be full-time, allowing for significant involvement in analytical tasks that support the team's mission.
You will report to the Vice President of Grid & Growth Strategy and support all three sub-teams. The intended job title isSr. Analyst, Grid & Growth Strategy.
Job Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
- Manage time-sensitive payments for grid interconnection requests.
- Set up and process payments for vendors (consultants, software providers).
- Facilitate contract execution with vendor support from legal and subject matter experts.
- Develop and manage administrative processes for team efficiency.
- Coordinate team communications.
- Perform research and analysis to support team initiatives as needed.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $85,000 and $102,000/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
