Project Manager Integrated Solutions for Axiom Custom Solutions

Responsible for overseeing the successful completion of projects for the advanced Axiom solutions portfolio. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle-from initial estimation and quoting to final delivery-while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, internal capabilities, and business objectives. The Project Manager works closely with sales, CAD drafting, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to optimize workflows, improve quoting accuracy, and support sales efforts. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and continuously improve the quoting, estimating, and coordination processes for Custom Axiom solutions to support sales growth and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop accurate material estimates and project quotes based on project size, complexity, and product selection.
  • Main goal is to coordinate with CAD drafting teams to ensure timely delivery of drawing packages that meet project specifications; review and validate outputs for accuracy and completeness.
  • When applicable, create CAD drawings and support the custom process of selling axiom.
  • Manage the creation and communication of accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), special instructions, and delivery schedules to manufacturing and logistics teams.
  • Serve as the central point of contact between sales, engineering, CAD, production, purchasing, and finance to ensure seamless project execution and alignment across departments.
  • Monitor project progress from quote to post-installation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Address and resolve project-related issues, including billing discrepancies, product defects, and customer complaints, using Salesforce and other internal systems.
  • Maintain proactive communication with internal stakeholders and customers to provide updates, clarify requirements, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the coordination of order release, shipment timing, and invoicing processes in collaboration with AWI and Accounts Receivable teams.
  • Utilize tools such as Bluebeam, On Center Takeoff, Salesforce, and Excel to perform takeoffs, track project data, and generate reports that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Output expected, but not limited to: Project packages for the sales team, Detail Conversions, Specifications, quoting and estimation, detailed drawings for solutions and projects, and Customer Presentations,

Secondary role responsibilities:

  • Work with the internal NPD, sales and Engineering teams to provide feedback on new products, product improvement opportunities.

Organizational Relationships

  • Reports to WAVE Director of Integrated Solutions
  • Works closely with WAVE Sales and WAVE Operations

Key Customers and Suppliers

  • Key customer relationships will be important to maintain (ISI, KAMCO, FBM, GMS, etc)
  • Support customer engagement efforts by maintaining a collaborative link with the sales team, ensuring alignment on project requirements and customer expectations, while recognizing that direct customer ownership resides with the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics and Supply Chain teams to stay informed on supplier dynamics and provide timely market costing feedback, despite limited direct supplier interaction.

Measures of Effectiveness

  • Cycle time of the quoting and drawing process is a key measure.
  • # Quotes produced
  • # Dollars Quoted
  • Win Rate on Quotes
  • Successful project coordination including total cost, quality, and project schedule will be an important measure.
  • Providing market feedback and feedback based on learnings and industry expertise to drive business revenue will be important.

Qualifications for Critical Mission Project Coordinator

  • 7+ years of industry expertise or bachelor's degree in Technical, Business, or related field is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and dedication to customer satisfaction
  • Proficient in computer software systems including MS Office and MS Excel, Estimating tools
  • Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management software and data analysis
  • Excellent motivational skills and works will with a team but also able to work alone
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Knowledge of sales practices and the most efficient customer service techniques
  • Ability to interpret sales metrics and perform data entry
  • Ability to pay strong attention to detail
