Summary of the Job:

The nCino Product Owner at First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) is responsible for managing, optimizing, and expanding the bank's nCino platform implementation in addition to oversight of complementary platforms or applications associated with Business Lending. The platform primarily serves commercial and small business lending operations with potential for additional lending lines. The specialist works end-to end, handling discovery and delivery across the platform and serving as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and the nCino vendor to ensure the platform effectively supports FNBO's lending strategy and operational goals.

About This Role:

Platform Strategy & Management

  • Define and execute the nCino platform strategy focusing on developing reusable components across lending workflows

  • Create a strategic roadmap for nCino implementations and enhancements aligned with FNBO's business objectives and investment class expectations

  • Ensure platform performance, stability, and scalability across all lending operations

Agile Leadership & Development

  • Active participant and/or leader in all agile ceremonies

  • Develop and maintain the product backlog with properly prioritized user stories and clear, testable acceptance criteria

  • Collaborate closely with nCino developers, administrators, and cross-functional team members

Stakeholder Management

  • Guide and align stakeholders in clarifying the problem to be solved, deliverables, and measurable success outcomes to ensure delivery of value

  • Use systems and business knowledge to plan and scope initiatives to help accountable leaders make informed decisions about which initiatives to prioritize and how to sequence

  • Translate business needs into technical requirements

  • Communicate platform capabilities, limitations, and roadmap to executive leadership

  • Build consensus among competing priorities and facilitate trade-off discussions

  • Conduct user research and leverage insights to validate decisions and drive improvements

Vendor Management

  • Serve as primary point of contact with nCino representatives and supported applications

  • Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and implementation timelines in partnership with Product and IT leaders, and Enterprise Sourcing resources

  • Stay current with nCino product roadmap and upcoming features

  • Evaluate and implement product updates and new features, and drive continuous improvement of supported applications

  • Understand the competitive landscape and perform analysis as needed

  • Advocate for FNBO's needs and requirements in vendor product development

Performance & Analytics

  • Define and track key performance indicators for lending workflows in nCino

  • Partner to utilize dashboards to monitor system performance and user adoption

  • Analyze usage patterns to identify opportunities for platform optimization

  • Measure and report on business impact and ROI of investments

  • Use data to drive decision-making around future enhancements

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required:

  • 4-6 years of demonstrated experience with nCino, other loan origination systems, or lending technology

  • Experience leading agile development teams and product lifecycles

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication across all organizational levels

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences

  • Occasional travel to Omaha, NEif not located in Omaha

Desired:

  • Banking industry experience, especially in commercial or small business lending

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements affecting lending operations

  • Certifications in Scrum, nCino, and/or Salesforce

  • Knowledge of Salesforce platform fundamentals

  • Knowledge of data analytics and performance measurement

  • Apply modern technology architectural concepts and tools effectively

  • Strong working knowledge of FNBO systems

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $80,061.00-$132,099.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
