The opportunity

Harvard Business Impact empowers educators to prepare students who can navigate tomorrow's complex challenges.

Harvard Business Impact (HBI) Education operates as a curated marketplace, connecting business educators with high-quality teaching materials from a diverse and growing network of academic and commercial partners. Partner products are critical to our growth, customer value proposition, and marketplace differentiation. As Senior Partnerships Manager, you will serve as the strategic owner of our partner ecosystem-managing relationships, expanding supply, and ensuring commercial success across a portfolio of 60,000+ products from 60+ global partners. This role combines relationship management, partner strategy, contract negotiation, and cross-functional coordination, offering the opportunity to shape how HBI builds and scales a modern partnership model in a dynamic, fast-changing business environment.

What you'll do:

  • Own and evolve the strategy for managing existing partners, serving as the primary relationship lead and ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes and value creation.

  • Partner with product managers in shaping overall partner strategy, from identifying and evaluating new suppliers to defining portfolio priorities and growth opportunities.

  • Drive prospecting and onboarding of new partners through market scanning, outreach, value proposition development, and contract negotiation.

  • Manage all new partner contracts, renewals, and terminations in collaboration with Legal and other internal teams.

  • Monitor and report on partnership KPIs, including commercial performance, operational metrics, and satisfaction scores.

  • Collaborate across functions (Product Management, Content Management, Legal, Finance) to address issues related to product intake, reporting, rights, metadata, accessibility, and customer experience.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to pilot new partnership models, address complex partner challenges, and support marketplace innovation.

What you'll bring:

  • Partnership Relationship Management: Experience managing partnerships across their lifecycle, addressing partner expectations and concerns to sustain long-term value.

  • Collaborative Influence: Ability to align stakeholders by fostering trust and using influence to navigate differing perspectives and achieve common goals.

  • Negotiation: Experience negotiating and managing contracts that achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and reduce business risk.

  • Enterprise Thinking: Solid business acumen paired with the ability to consider the broader business ecosystem and align partner strategies with HBI's goals.

  • Adaptability: Personal agility to thrive in a complex and fast-changing environment, with the ability to evolve and grow as the role expands.

You'll Stand Out If You Have

  • A deep understanding of marketplace dynamics and partnership management, with a history of innovating new partnership models.
