UC San Diego Health has held its Magnet status since 2011. This position will provide patient care coverage for our Primary Care Clinic based in Vista. May work in other Primary Care locations as needed. This position will be 80% Clinical and 20% Administrative. Primary duties will be new patient intake and in-basket support for Primary Care Physicians. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will serve as an integral member of the UCSD Primary Care team, improving access for patients with both acute and chronic needs. In addition to providing same-day care for common conditions such as upper respiratory symptoms, sore throats, ear infections, urinary tract infections, and minor injuries, the NP will also support primary care services through annual wellness exams, post-hospital follow-ups, and participation in population health initiatives as needed. The NP will follow standardized advanced practice procedure guidelines to provide follow through with the care plan. Assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $167,687 - $234,649 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $80.31 - $112.38 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
