About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in mission-critical work directly impacting national security. You will be instrumental in assessing and advancing the Combatant Command's technology integration initiatives, with a focus on AI/ML and data-driven decision-making. This high-impact role offers the unique opportunity to design and implement robust data solutions that directly contribute to critical national security investments. You will work closely with mission partners and government stakeholders, shaping the future of DoD data management and analytics. Frequent travel is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect legacy software applications to determine the viability of AI applications.
  • Support the configuration and ingestion of structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data repositories into capabilities that satisfy mission partner requirements. Support a data analytics and DevOps pipeline to drive rapid delivery of functionality to the client.
  • Automate configuration management, leverage appropriate tools, and stay current on data extract, transfer, and load (ETL) technologies and services.
  • Work under general guidance, demonstrating initiative to independently develop solutions. Review architecture and identify areas for automation, optimization, right-sizing, and cost reduction to support the overall health of the environment.
  • Apply comprehension of data engineering-specific technologies and services; leverage expertise in databases and a variety of approaches to structuring and retrieving data; comprehend cloud architectural constructs; and support the establishment and maintenance of cloud environments programmatically using vendor consoles.
  • Engage with multiple functional groups to understand client challenges, prototype new ideas and technologies, create solutions to drive innovation, and design, implement, schedule, test, and deploy full features and components of solutions.
  • Identify and implement scalable and efficient coding solutions.
  • Provide system performance validation and quality assurance on multiple systems.
  • Participate in system-level test planning and test readiness reviews.
  • Write and review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent, and complete.
  • Provide technical assessments on findings and assist the Government in presentations.
Required Experience/Clearance
  • US citizenship with a Top Secret security clearance that includes SCI eligibility and a CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of comprehensive cloud services experience with relevant certifications.
  • Experience with full-cycle hardware/software development projects.
  • Experience in Python.
Desired Experience
  • Experience with DataBricks, GitLab, and Jira.
  • Experience with Spark.
  • Experience with specific cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with specific ETL tools (Informatica, Matillion, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
