The Site Continuous Improvement Leader is responsible for continuously driving a culture of excellence in the organization, coaching and enabling waste removal activities using Lean/Kaizen approaches and tools, and guiding actions to a sustainable conclusion. Facilitating and guiding the effective implementation of Standex Lean Systems and tracking progress through Lean and Quality principles to achieve "best practice" and improved performance in manufacturing.




  • Lead the application of the lean principles and practices to deliver improved performance in manufacturing.
  • Train & guide employees in the application of lean principles and practices.
  • Lead, facilitate& coordinate teams on Just Do It (JDI) Small Group Activities (SGA), Internal Kaizen Workshop (IKW).
  • Facilitate the teams on the application of lean/kaizen tools & processes



What You'll Do



  • Utilize Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) techniques, initiate process improvements, cycle time reductions, cost reductions, automation & digitalization aimed at reducing/eliminating non-value-added activities in the process.
  • Conduct lean training and accelerate the proliferation of Lean culture throughout the organization by co-leading and co-facilitating Lean Deployment.
  • Drive measurable improvements in lead time, customer delivery, productivity, inventory, and product flow.
  • Identify different Kaizen Events based on the Value Stream.
  • Ensure that Kaizen teams are in action.
  • Review and monitor progress on Improvement projects.
  • Support other departments for Visual Factory, Manufacturing Color Code, 1S+5S, Value Stream Mapping, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies), Poka-Yoke.
  • Implementation of new ideas at Shop Floor.
  • Lead and develop Site CI Leaders.
  • Build and develop a moonshine shop and moonshine team
  • Establish and drive a Gemba Walk methodology that drives cross-functional focus on the production line and quickly solves impediments to flow.
  • Drive and Yokoten the identified Best Practices based on the agreed timelines.
  • Create and validate processes/standards based on standard work and Best Practices.
  • Prepare Lean review presentations and pitch to Business Leaders on Lean Business reviews.
  • Perform assessment of Lean tools deployment and drive initiatives to close gaps.
  • Mentoring & coaching the Manufacturing Engineering team to deploy the lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, 1S+5S, Gemba walks, lean line design thru Industrial Engineering, flow-oriented layout, operations balance chart, material flow, workstation design - ergonomics & motion economy, just in time, takt time production, standard work, pull production, quick change over, pokayoke, autonomation) effectively in the shop floor.
  • Project manages significant cost reduction/process improvement projects, leading a cross-functional team against the business objectives.


What You'll Bring




  • Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering






  • 8-10 years' experience in the manufacturing Industry, having very good exposure in Lean Management, Documentation, 1S+5S implementation Kaizen activities.






  • 3 years of manager experience in High Mix Low Volume Manufacturing setup or high speed manufacturing.
