Level 2 and 3 - 1st Shift (5:00 AM to 3:30PM) & 2nd Shift (3:30PM to 2:00AM)

Duties
- Understand basic control features;
o Emergency stop o Reset o Cycle start o Feed hold o Coolant status o Program status
- Loading and unloading material as instructed. Double check loading and clamping prior to starting cycle.
- Can identify and achieve proper deburring requirements using power and hand tools.
- Attention to detail; avoiding damage on parts from improper handling, packaging, deburring, clamping-chips marks, rust, missing features, broken tools also watching for casting imperfections, porosity, voids, all based off work instructions & customer requirements.
- Can proficiently and accurately perform and record inspections specified on PDR (Process Data Records) using gauges required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area. Clean chips from machine as needed, fill coolant levels, clean bench and sweep floors.
- Ability to identify tool wear and when adjustments/changes need to be made.
- Understands how to read/fill out all documentation, such as;
o LIT's o PDR's o Scarp Tags - also includes marking the defects on parts.
- Can utilize the MOPS when required.
- Can log all labor into MES stations.
- Can perform minor maintenance on machines, such as;
o Coolant levels o Coolant concentration-includes the ability to use a refractometer. o Any screens that are associated with the coolant tank.
- Ability to use pressure testers, such as;
o Keep the testers clean at all times o Identify worn seal and notify maintenance departments. o Test master part to ensure it passes and fails.

- Ability to multitask.
- Highest level of quality of parts must be maintained
- Set up, calibrate, and operate machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Conduct pre-production checks, including inspection of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Adjust and troubleshoot machinery as needed during operation to maintain optimal production levels.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of set-ups, machine adjustments, and production metrics.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience as a CNC Operator.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs when required.
- Ability to maneuver parts weighing 60+ lbs. with the assistance of a hoist.
- Ability to complete shifts requiring the employee to stand, walk, push, pull and reach with arms and hands constantly.
- Ability to wear required and provided hearing protection.
- Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- Basic programming knowledge of M&G Code.
- Ability to change tools;
- Indexable inserts

- Ability to make minor adjustments to program, such as tool comps.
- Can utilize the optical comparator to ensure the correct tool height.
- Understands all machine axis and axis direction.
- Can remove/install tools via spindle or magazine.
- Ability to change inserts on face mills and similar tools. Adjust bore and thread sizes.
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
- Ability to change/adjust all various types of tooling.
- Ability to pick up offsets using an edge finder or indicator.
- Ability to move work offsets when requested from quality department.
- Ability to edit/adjust CNC programs as needed.
- Ability to load/unload programs in machine controller.
- Ability to proficiently and accurately set-up machines
- Install and secure fixtures.
- Set, adjust, and install tools.
- Proof run first part, work with QC as needed to achieve first piece approval and make any necessary adjustments as needed.
Work Environment/Physical Demands In this position the employee may be exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts & vibration. The noise level in the plant environment can be loud, hearing protection is provided and mandatory in certain areas. Physical requirements are as follows: the employee is required to talk and hear, is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, walk, stoop, read and write. The position may require occasional lifting, pushing & pulling of objects. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
