Responsible for supporting the Dietitian in providing high-quality nutrition services to a diverse patient population at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. This role ensures patients receive appropriate meals, between-meal nourishments, and specialized formulas based on their individual health needs and care plans.

Essential Functions
Collaborates with the Dietitian to assess patient nutritional needs and develop individualized dietary care plans.
Conducts patient interviews to identify food preferences, allergies, cultural considerations, and nutritional status.
Monitors patient intake by tracking calorie counts, documenting percentage of food consumed, and conducting meal rounds.
Ensures compliance with dietary restrictions and physician-ordered diet modifications.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Serves as a patient-focused liaison between the Dietitian, Food Services, and Nursing staff to support continuity of care.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Dietetics preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Dietetic Technician, Registered [DTR/NDTR] - Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) preferred

Experience
Dietetic technician experience with multiple patient populations 1-2 years preferred

- Attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency.
