POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Analytics Specialist to support our procurement and supply chain teams by analyzing purchasing data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and improving supplier performance. The ideal candidate will use data analytics tools to deliver actionable insights that optimize purchasing decisions.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase & Supply Analytics Specialist to manage end-to-end purchasing processes while applying data-driven insights to optimize procurement strategies. This role combines traditional purchasing functions with supply chain analytics, budget planning, and supplier management, including contract manufacturers

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Procurement & Purchasing:



  • Source and purchase raw materials, products, or services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing any concerns or issues related to quality, delivery, or price.


  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products.


  • Analyze purchasing and supplier data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and efficiency improvements
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports to track procurement KPIs and support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with strategic procurement, finance, and supply chain teams to support strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Forecast purchasing needs based on historical data and future supply plan scenarios.
  • Ability to develop and execute short-term and long-term purchasing budgets
  • Ability to manage contract manufacturers suppliers for exciting and a new product
  • Identify risks in the supply chain and propose mitigation strategies


2. Inventory & Supply Chain Management:




    • Ensure the optimal flow of materials to meet production deadlines while minimizing inventory costs.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
    • Collaborate with logistics to manage inbound shipments and deliveries.
    • Use forecasting techniques to predict future material needs and reduce excess inventory.


    3. Reporting & Data Management:




      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for purchasing, inventory, and production schedules.
      • Analyze data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
      • Generate regular reports on procurement activities, inventory status, and production schedules for senior management.


      4. Cross-functional Collaboration:




        • Work closely with the strategic procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment between supply chain activities and overall company objectives.
        • Support the development of processes to streamline purchasing and scheduling workflows.


        5.Continuous Improvement & Efficiency Gains:




          • Identify opportunities for process improvements within procurement, production scheduling, and inventory management to drive cost savings and enhance operational efficiency.
          • Lead or participate in initiatives aimed at streamlining workflows, reducing waste, and improving resource utilization across the supply chain.
          • Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to monitor and enhance supply chain performance.
          • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement the best practices and achieve measurable improvements in delivery times, inventory turnover, and supplier performance.

          • Performs full range of standard professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly defined issues. Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve
          • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data



          DECISION MAKING/SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:



          • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues
          • Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor



          SPAN OF CONTROL/COMPLEXITY:

          Fully competent and productive professional contributor, working independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments that have direct impact on department results



          EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



          • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
          • 2-3 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Supply Chain
          • Proven experience in purchase analytics, procurement analysis, or supply chain analytics.
          • Proven experiences in procurement, purchasing, or scheduling (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
          • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, inventory control, and production scheduling.
          • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and supply chain management software (ERP systems such as QAD, SBWED, etc.).
          • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
          • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
          • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
          • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus.

          WORK ENVIRONMENT/EXPECTED BUSINESS TRAVEL:

          The work is typically performed in a normal office environment. Role routinely uses standard office equipment. Remote work no greater than 20%.
