TSC is seeking a Sr Production Data Analyst to support defense production efforts in Huntsville, AL location. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and managing key operational data to help optimize performance, improve quality, and inform decision-making across production teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and an ability to bridge technical data systems with on-the-floor production needs

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Collect, manage, and analyze production and process data to support efficiency, throughput, and quality goals.
  • Oversee master data management including creation, updates, and deletion of production-related data records.
  • Manage user access and roles for production data systems and reporting platforms.
  • Ensure the integrity of imported data through quality assurance checks in coordination with QA teams.
  • Process and safeguard confidential manufacturing data in line with organizational guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools for operations, quality, and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Support the data warehouse in revising and improving reporting requirements tied to production output and resource utilization.
  • Troubleshoot issues within reporting systems, dashboards, and live production data feeds.
  • Evaluate changes to source systems and assess impacts on production reporting workflows.
  • Train plant floor personnel, supervisors, and engineers on new reports, dashboards, and tools.
  • Support initiatives for data normalization, traceability, and version control in a manufacturing context.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production leads to assist in decision-making on tooling, scheduling, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and cleansing to ensure high data accuracy.
  • Recommend software and reporting solutions tailored to manufacturing operations.
  • Translate production and business requirements into actionable data models and visualizations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead report preparation, such as WBR, QBR and all hands meetings for manufacturing throughput, efficiency, NCR, ETC etc.
  • Champion internal training/certification and curriculum preparation.
  • Mentor and coach junior level data/business analysts and technicians.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, business analysis, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related field and 5 or more years' experience in a data analysis role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Power BI (preferred) and complex KPI (safety, quality, productivity, delivery, inventory, cost, people) dashboard building.
  • Data Query languages such as SQL, DAX, M, Python or R.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, MES, or production tracking tools and system-level interaction between MES and ERP/MRP.
  • Understanding of manufacturing KPIs (yield, scrap, rework rate, throughput, availability, MTBF, MTTF, downtime, cycle time, OEE, labor burn rate, resource utilization, NCR, EAC, ETC and project expenditure etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio etc).
  • Experience with report preparation (WBR, QBR, all hands) and good presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in data science or business analytics etc.
  • Basic understanding of cost accounting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey data insights to cross-functional teams, and get-it-done attitude to problem solving.
  • Certified project management professional (PMP).
  • Experience working with large data sets in relational database systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience integrating production data from shop floor systems, PLCs, or SCADA.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools and statistical process control (SPC).
