Job Description Summary:

The Hurricane Helene Expanded Recovery Assistance (ERA) Supervisor is a vital leadership role reporting to the Hurricane Helene Individual Resiliency and Preparedness Manager. This role involves supervising a team of Hurricane Helene ERA Caseworkers and overseeing all client services activities related to disaster recovery. The ERA Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing direction, guidance, and support for casework activities, ensuring the achievement of casework goals, and maintaining high-quality service delivery to disaster-affected individuals and families. The ERA Supervisor will coordinate closely with the Hurricane Helene Long-Term Recovery Operation, National Headquarters volunteers and employees, as well as partner agencies providing Disaster Case Management and social services to the impacted areas. This position will assist with providing RC Care system design feedback and program health indicators that will help with the long-term growth and success of the ERA program in future Long Term Recovery Operations.

This is a remote position with occasional travel to disaster-impacted counties will be required. This is a full-time temporary position expected to last 6 months with an opportunity to extend based on business need. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities:

* Provide effective leadership to a team of Hurricane Helene ERA Caseworkers, guiding their efforts to deliver exceptional casework services. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages professional growth and ensures optimal performance.

* Provide case management direction to the casework team, ensuring that disaster-affected clients receive appropriate and timely assistance. Monitor casework activities to maintain compliance with established protocols, guidelines, and best practices.

* Responsible for onboarding, training, supervision and management to the ERA caseworkers.

* Analyze and evaluate program services, prepare recommendations and/or implement changes as required.

* Ensure that community outreach efforts and Red Cross services reach affected populations, including vulnerable and underserved communities.

* Maintain open and effective communication channels with both the casework team and NHQ Long Term Recovery leadership. Ensure timely reporting of casework activities, challenges, and successes to the Individual Resiliency and Preparedness Manager and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.3 or more years' experience in case management, social services or service/program delivery and disaster response/recovery preferable. 2 or more years of management experience of both paid staff and volunteers required. Ability to coordinate paid-staff and volunteer activities while managing multiple priorities with strong skills in planning and problem-solving. Knowledge of disaster recovery processes, community resources, and support services. Ability to relate well and effectively with diverse groups and individuals.Equivalent education and experience are acceptable.

Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrates knowledge of program or service. Demonstrated ability in being flexible. Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements. Proven track record of collaboration, facilitation, problem solving, leadership, and partnership management. Individual must be customer oriented, organized, and focused on solutions. Ability to work independently, handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to establish a positive rapport with team and leadership in a short period of time. Ability to assess client need and provide services equitably and consistently. Identifies and resolves problems and/or develops alternative solutions. Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Travel: Travel required. Must have a current, valid driver's license.

*Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
