Job Overview:

Comprehensive Family Medical Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver nursing care, catering to patients from infancy to the elderly with special needs and medical complexities. The nurse will provide clinical care and oversight for medical services, including but not limited to patient and family education, vaccine administration, point-of-care testing, referrals, authorizations, patient triage, and office evaluations. The role involves collaboration with internal and external care providers to ensure the continuum of care is delivered within a patient- and family-centered, team-based model aligned with organizational values.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • New Jersey RN License
  • BLS Certification approved by AHA
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience

Preferred:

  • BA/BS/BSN degree

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • New Jersey RN License
  • BLS Certification approved by AHA

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift, 20 hours/week
  • Part-Time Schedule

Essential Functions:

  • Provides clinical oversight for the duties of the medical assistants and offers training when needed
  • Demonstrates procedural competency for routine and emergent office-based procedures
  • Oversees the completion of quality metrics for all providers
  • Provides patient education on diagnoses, symptoms, medication management, and behavioral modifications as directed by the provider
  • Performs medication refills and authorizations as needed
  • Triages calls for both acute and chronic conditions
  • Administers medications and injections, performs phlebotomy, and assists with various medical procedures
  • Conducts consultations with patients regarding medications, results, and discharge instructions
  • Serves as a liaison between patients and physicians to communicate and implement care plans
