Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Clinical Operations to lead and support clinical programs across our state-level correctional healthcare systems. The ideal candidate is a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with strong experience in Utilization Management (UM) and correctional healthcare delivery. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing outcomes through effective resource management and collaboration with on-site and corporate clinical teams.



Responsibilities

    Lead and oversee clinical operations across multiple correctional sites to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care.
  • Develop and monitor clinical protocols, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide clinical oversight and support for Utilization Management processes, including reviewing requests, identifying trends, and guiding appropriate levels of care.
  • Serve as a liaison between corporate leadership and site medical teams, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
  • Support hiring, training, and ongoing development of site-based clinical leadership.
  • Participate in audits, performance reviews, and corrective action planning.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, NCCHC/ACA standards, and applicable regulations.


Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with active and unrestricted licensure.
  • Extensive experience in correctional healthcare in a leadership or administrative capacity.
  • Strong background in Utilization Management and care coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of correctional health regulations, NCCHC and ACA standards preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
  • Experience with electronic health records and UM platforms.
  • Background in quality improvement, risk management, or compliance.
