The marketing teams for Wealth develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy that delivers the full value of the GS network and expertise to clients, generate new business by expanding our reach and frequency of interactions with clients and prospective clients, and build brand equity of Goldman Sachs to this audience. We're a client-focused team, partnering with the business to deliver campaigns that drive deepening of relationship.

As the Email Marketing, Automation and Operations Lead, you will be responsible for enabling the marketing team throughout the campaign execution process across marketing channels (primarily email), as we build and scale truly personal and intelligent campaigns. You'll represent the marketing team as a subject matter expert as we partner with cross-functional teams in product and engineering to evolve our CRM/email stack to meet our growth goals. That means articulating our short-term and long-term requirements with an eye on innovation, a detailed view of data across the email marketing platforms and finding ways to drive process automation to go to market faster, but maintain accuracy.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for CRM/email and innovation, with experience leading marketing operations and building infrastructure/processes that unlock the ability for marketers to create personalized communications programs for clients and prospects.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Lead the strategy, implementation, and enhancement of key platforms, including marketing automation implementations, focusing on lead management, automated emails, centralized email campaigns, and integration with Salesforce.
  • Own the buildout and execution on our email marketing platforms and infrastructure, including developing strategic roadmap and working across teams to build up capabilities
  • Lead the team that supports the operational execution across all email marketing and automation platforms
  • Work with our cross-functional partners across the business, product and engineering to identify enhancements to our platforms to drive efficiency and campaign launches
  • Work closely with our external agencies, engineering and product partners to build, enhance and troubleshoot the email and CRM platforms that are the foundation of our email marketing campaigns
  • Work with marketing owners to build customer segmentation workflows to carefully orchestrate campaigns across channels
  • Understand data mapping and systems to support requirements for CRM tools to ensure detailed and personalized campaigns
  • Oversee campaign landing page creation and quality control processes, including updating tech risk processes
  • Create dashboard and reports to socialize email metrics, and lead efforts to test/learn/optimize
  • Translate MarTech-related questions, requests, and requirements between Marketing, Product, and Engineering
  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams and the transition into scalable marketing technology rollout, automated reporting and reduced effort.
  • Serve as firmwide email marketing SME, including delivering training sessions to the broader Marketing team and supporting teams.
  • Work collaboratively and creatively with a variety of cross-functional teams, including Analytics, Creative Services/Design, Compliance, Legal, Product, Advisors, and partner/vendor and agencies
  • Continuously maintain proper documentation of business controls and approvals across all processes and campaigns


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR



  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 7+ years of loyalty/email marketing, CRM, email infrastructure, product marketing, or other marketing operations experience
  • 4+ years experience using enterprise-level email marketing operations/CRM tools (CDPs, ESPs, customer segmentation tools, CMS, etc);
  • 4+ years in email marketing, with emphasis in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement / Pardot and Braze; experience working in Adobe Campaign and/or is also a plus
  • Experience in defining, documenting, and implementing technical requirements for a marketing purpose
  • Proficient with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), databases and data infrastructure
  • Experience in JIRA, Confluence, and other agile project management tools
  • Deep knowledge of email marketing data/metrics, best practices, and relevant regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively and effectively solve problems
  • Familiarity with Tableau or any data visualization reporting tools is a plus
  • Good balance of strategic thinking as well as leadership and execution. Focus on client experience
  • Ability to work independently and proactively; a self-starter that doesn't always need to be told what to do but identifies areas of opportunity for the business.
