Press Materials Handler

To provide and arrange component parts for press personnel at the work stations to avoid any interruptions in their daily assignments. Move and transfer material in orderly manner to insure proper flow of service and operations. To contribute toward the efficient operation of the press department by weighing and recording piece counts for operators. Working from general instructions and utilizing good working knowledge of the press functions. Complies with current ISO requirements, all safety requirements, and good housekeeping

• Load, unload, and move material within or near the plant yard or work site
• Weigh drums
• Keep operators posted on status of parts, counts, etc
• Ensure completed parts correctly go to the next staging area

• Education and/or experience -High school diploma or GED preferred. Employee must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions. Computer knowledge and keyboard skills a plus.
• Language Skills -Ability to read and write. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memorandums and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
• Mathematical Skills -Basic mathematical skills are required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Reasoning Ability -Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
• Physical Requirements -The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, used hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.The employee is also required to bend, stoop and lift up to 55 pounds on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color, distance, peripheral and ability to adjust focus.
