In this role, you will be responsible for preparing samples and conducting tests in strict adherence to established protocols set forth by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Standards, the ASTM International (ASTM), Standards, and the Pennsylvania Test Methods (PTMs). Your responsibilities will include conducting various tests on both coarse and fine aggregates, as well as preparing samples for transfer to the concrete or chemistry laboratories. Additionally, you will ensure that all testing equipment is functioning correctly by performing daily inspections, conducting monthly maintenance, and carrying out necessary cleaning procedures. You will also be responsible for analyzing and interpreting test data, maintaining accurate records, and keeping detailed maintenance logs to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• This position may require overtime as needed.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of experience in the testing of materials used in highway, bridge, building, hydraulic or similar construction projects and graduation from high school; or
• An Associate's Degree in a civil engineering technology or closely related field; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
