DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for processing and reviewing applications and inquiries received through various channels, including USPS, Messenger Unit, legislative offices, fax, customer service, and electronic platforms like notepads, commercial motor vehicle (CMV) mail queue, and outlook. Daily operations involve handling a range of commercial motor vehicle transactions, such as titling trucks and buses, managing record suspensions or restorations, issuing registrations, and fulfilling requests for duplicate credentials. Your tasks will include addressing customer inquiries via phone, in-person, or written communication, as well as regularly working at the customer service counter, managing a cash drawer, and submitting collected funds. You will be accountable for all unaccounted funds, including cash, credits, debits, and electronic records on a daily basis. You will demonstrate your exceptional customer service and professionalism while investigating and resolving inquiries or discrepancies, exercising independent judgment with minimal supervision. Additionally, you will reference information from various regulatory bodies, such as the Public Utility Commission, Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicle Code, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Internal Revenue Service, and International Registration Plan to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. - Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
