POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a IT Manager supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The IT Manager is responsible for developing and managing solutions to needs associated with the Tinker AFB Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and telephone capabilities. This position will require knowledge of such IT systems and the skills to define criteria and plan for future growth. Performs quality assurance on all service and parts and assure proper documentation is provided by the vendor.
- Directs and coordinates activities of IT Department. Oversees all computer operations within the company. Maintains current knowledge of new hardware and software to maintain efficient operations. Schedules and assigns work to IT Department. Performs analysis of department production and redesigns workflow if appropriate.
- Supervises maintenance and operations to include assisting end-users in system operations. Maintains multiple LANs in support of all contract requirements. Supervises and/or repairs network infrastructures devices, work stations, printers and associated peripherals. Installs and maintains network software as required. Supervises and manages network security. Assists and trains all users in the use of all authorized network software. Applies system analysis and design techniques to a complex computer system.
- Maintains, modifies and repairs File Server, Network Applications Servers, and Workstations to include diagnosis and repair of complex systems and develops new subsystems and programs.
- Designs a variety of feasibly sound IT and best practice industry solutions to meet the organizational and installation customer missions.
- Responsible for project management to establish criteria, coordinate actions and human resources to provide successful solutions to the IT needs of the installation.
- Responsible for the management, maintenance and operation of the government's IWIMS computer management system
- Builds best practice IT programs in support of the installation through the use of project management skills. Programs include lifecycle management, configuration management, maintenance support, IT hardware support, desktop management, and IT standards, polices and procedures.
- Ensures Purchase Orders (P.O.) are established to provide goods and services as needed and in accordance with defined and documented solutions.
- Develops plans, policy and procedures to detail operations and maintenance of these projects.
- Develops/ reviews, executes and monitors contracts, and SOWs, to ensure quality and timely completion of requirements-based projects.
- Insures that all team members understand and accept their responsibilities
- Expends project resources according to the approved project plans
- Establishes priorities among project activities
- Provides periodic status reports
- Coordinates management and technical decisions
- Develops and implements SOPs pertaining to IT section responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Five years' experience in IT-related roles, including experience as an IT Support Technician
- Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations
- In-depth understanding of programming, computer science, and digital security
- Good communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization
- A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture
- Microsoft Network Certifications
