POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Superintendent supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Facilities Superintendent oversees all aspects of building functions, and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff.



  • Ensures buildings are well-maintained, safe, and functional, including managing HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
  • Supervises and manages third-party contractors for maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and other services.
  • Develops and manages budgets for facility-related expenses, including maintenance, repairs, and supplies.
  • Ensures facilities meet all health and safety regulations and relevant building codes.
  • Plans, coordinates, and oversees facility-related projects, such as renovations, installations, and relocations.
  • Optimizes space utilization and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Maintains accurate records of all facility-related activities, including maintenance logs, contracts, and expenses.
  • Develops and implements procedures for handling emergencies and ensuring a safe environment for all occupants.
  • Ensures proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five to Seven years of responsible building and faciities maintenance contract experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience
  • Advanced mechanical and plumbing skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasks
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • Great leadership and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications and Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; courses in public works administration, contract management, construction technology or a related field
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, or equivalent
  • Experience in planning and maintaining facility budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional leadership experience
  • Contract handling experience
  • Strong attention to detail
