DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Office of Health Equity Undergraduate Intern, you will be encouraged to gain input and expertise in areas of the department that are of interest to you. You will also have the opportunity to develop a networking relationship with different bureaus within the department. This internship encourages you to take on as much responsibility as you feel capable of achieving, allowing you to become an integral part of the Office of Health Equity. As part of your role, you will be responsible for completing the following duties:
- Developing plans for evaluation and research projects to identify health disparities, public health issues, and address strategies
- Applying a variety of communication methods and techniques
- Attending, monitoring, and summarizing meetings with stakeholders
- Reviewing and assisting with formatting publications and health policies that are developed
- Completing special projects as assigned

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time internship, may run from August 2025 to January 2026
- Work hours vary, up to 20 hours per week.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be expected to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg as needed or as directed by your supervisor. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements:
- You must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an undergraduate level program.
- You must have good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
- School credit will be determined by the college or university.
- You must have Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
