Pay Rate: $65.00 - $71.42

Hybrid position with 2 days per week in Westbrook.

JOB SUMMARY

• Performs regular monthly accounting tasks. Participates in preparation of internal and external periodic financial reporting requirements.
• Provides accounting guidance and support and serves as liaison to other areas of finance and other internal customers.
  Requires in-depth knowledge and experience.
• Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
• Contributes to process improvements.
• Solves complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
  

  EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Business Administration; four years of accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, revenue accounting, or internal auditing; and proficiency in MS Excel with ability to efficiently analyze large datasets, using advanced functions and data analysis tools including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data validation, complex formulas, charting, and automation, to extract and analyze, mine, and manipulate data.
  

  PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Calculates, prepares and posts recurring and non-recurring journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Analyzes account balances, investigates unusual items, determines necessary adjustments and completes reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Assists internal and external audit personnel as needed.
• Reviews and posts journal entries. Investigates and resolves any issues identified through research of accounting documents and follows up with others as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Understanding of applicable accounting rules and regulations.
Strong computer skills including knowledge of Excel
Experience with general ledger module of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, SAP preferred.
Typically, 7-10+ years' related experience.
