Position Summary The Senior Manager of Infection Control for the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network (SRN) is responsible for the day-to-day implementation, management, and oversight of Infection Prevention functions across Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospitals. Reporting to the Director of Infection Control at Mass General Brigham (MGB), this position requires a strong foundation in infection prevention and control principles and practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate evidence-based decision-making, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. As a leadership role in a dynamic and evolving change management environment, this position demands flexibility, adaptability, and an open-minded approach-with responsibilities that will continue to evolve over time. ________________________________________ Principal Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision and in collaboration with the MGB Director of Infection Control, the Senior Manager will: 1.Implement system-wide infection prevention and control goals, plans, and standards at the site level, aligned with clinical, administrative, and regulatory objectives. 2.Oversee infection surveillance, reporting, and remediation, including outbreak detection and response. 3.Lead and manage all site-specific infection control activities, supervising a team of four direct reports, ensuring alignment with operational and productivity goals. 4.Drive continuous improvement in infection prevention and control practices. 5.Serve as site liaison to regulatory agencies and public health authorities; represent the organization on external committees when needed. 6.Assist in budget preparation and ensure operations remain within allocated funding. 7.Evaluate the infection control program at the site level, developing strategies to reduce infection transmission risk. 8.Lead site-specific educational initiatives related to infection prevention and control. 9.Collaborate with MGB Occupational Health Services on policies and procedures addressing occupational infection risk. 10.Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Environmental Health and Safety, Compliance) to support infection prevention strategies. 11.Perform additional duties as assigned.
