$5,000 Sign on Bonus Offered to Eligible Candidates General Purpose: Shuttle trailers from the yard to Shipping and Receiving bays for loading and unloading. Keep the yard neat and orderly. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport trucks and trailers for loading and repairs, as necessary, according to policies and procedures
- Pick up appropriate empty trailer that will be needed for outgoing loads and trailers to be unloaded by working with plant Shipping and Receiving departments
- Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log to ensure accurate disposition and tracking
- Complete driving and delivery functions safely to assigned locations
- Follow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the area
- Deliver product to local customers as needed
- Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
- Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
- Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity
- Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent Preferred
- Must have a current CDL (Class A) in state of residence.
- Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement.
- Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement)
- In lieu of 1-year verifiable driving experience, driver applicants may have successfully graduated from a FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training certified driving school.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must meet all DOT requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to read and record accurate volume and weight measurement
- Good organization and record keeping skills
