Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace Composites

Tallassee, AL| Full-Time | Advanced Manufacturing | Competitive Compensation + Benefits | Relocation Assistance Available



We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineerto support both operational and development programs at ourTallassee, Alabamafacility. This role is key to delivering zero-defect projects through robust engineering, process innovation, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced aerospace composites environment.


What You'll Do

  • Develop technical solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Provide technical support for production integration and vendor-related issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to eliminate non-conformances.
  • Design and implement tooling and production planning from concept through production using standard ME tools.
  • Support product development, quoting, tooling, configuration changes, and first article development.
  • Deliver measurable results aligned with program and value stream goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean initiatives and process optimization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • U.S. Person status per ITAR regulations.

What Helps You Stand Out

  • Experience in aerostructures (metallics and/or composites).
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset and results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work independently across diverse manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching team members.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and sound judgment.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
