UC Riverside's Dining Service is recruiting for a new Lead Custodian. The full salary range for the Lead Custodian is $21.05 - $28.89 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
***Please note the realized minimum pay for this position will be $25 an hour.*** The Lead Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across all UCR Dining and Hospitality Services facilities, including dining halls. This role performs a wide range of custodial duties such as cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, dining areas, classrooms, and residential spaces, as well as maintaining floors, windows, furniture, and equipment. The Lead Custodian also functions as a leader in the absence of the Custodial Assistant Manager, providing guidance to custodial staff, ensuring adherence to cleaning standards, and coordinating work assignments. Duties include responding to emergency cleanups, biohazard handling, preparing spaces for special events and conferences, and assisting with exterior maintenance. The role requires proficiency in using various cleaning equipment and the ability to move heavy items to ensure comprehensive sanitation and upkeep of facilities.
